2015 DAY OF THE DEAD CULTURAL TOUR

Day of the Dead

La Caterina

Hola, mis amigos!

I am excited to be able to offer once again a Day of the Dead Cultural Tour to Oaxaca, Mexico! Our 2014 trip was spectacular! You can see many photos from that trip at: http://www.pinterest.com/jkachuba/day-of-the-dead-cultural-tour-2014/

This year’s trip runs October 28 – November 3, seven days and six nights. It’s a day longer than last year and includes some new and fascinating destinations. Here are some highlights:

Arrive in Oaxaca as the locals are finishing their preparations for the Day of the Dead festivities. Discover the talent of the local Zapotec artisans and get an insider experience with tours of their workshops, meals with their families, and the opportunity to hear their stories. During the day, you will be busy exploring the beautiful city of Oaxaca and the surrounding area, such as the majestic ancient ruins at Monte Alban, Mitla, and Zaachila; the unique 16th century Dominican Convent of Cuilapan; El Tule, the largest tree in the world; and the only ancient calcified waterfalls in Mexico – Hierve el Agua. In the evening, learn about the various festivities that surround the Day of the Dead. View the altars in local homes and visit the graveyards as people are decorating them. Participate in all the festivities, including a Day of the Dead makeup session.

All this for only $1,699 per person! All arrangements are being handled by Celestial Voyagers, a leading travel agency specializing in unique, custom tours. For complete information about the 2015 Day of the Dead Cultural Tour, visit their website at:
